The "As a Child CD was actually recorded in
2002 but wasn't released 'till 20004
The
first
time I performed the song "Streets of Gold", was the day of my Uncle
Norman’s funeral. My Aunt
& cousins came to see me at Celebrate Jesus Coffeehouse after the
funeral.
I felt the Lord had given me this song just for that day. I therefore
would
like to dedicate this song to my Uncle Jim (5/9/16-1/5/67) whom I have
nothing
but fond memories of & my Uncle Norman (9/3/16-4/14/02) who I never
heard
say an unkind word to anyone. I know they are both walking the streets
of gold
right now. Thank you to my cousins, my Aunt, & my Dad for coming
out to see
me.
A river
runs
through it, flowing past those streets of gold.
Yes, the
river of life runs through it, flowing past those streets of gold.
And I’ll be
there forever, praising the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
And the four
and twenty Elders, will worship before Your golden throne.
Yes, the four
and twenty Elders, will worship before Your golden throne.
And
we’ll sing Your praise forever, as we walk
down those streets of gold.
They’ll be a
light that shines so brightly, lighting up those streets of gold.
They’ll be a
light that shines so brightly, from the Father,
lighting up
those streets of gold, and darkness will be never, and I won’t grow old
And we’ll
hold hands together, as we walk down those streets of gold
Yes we’ll,
hold hands together, and sing His praises, as we walk down those
streets of
gold
As we're on
our way to worship, before His golden throne.
And time will
be forever as we walk down those streets of gold.
Yes, time
will be forever, as we walk down those streets of gold. A minute or a
thousand
years, we won’t even know. (Instrumental)
So I’ll
praise Him in the morning, I’ll praise Him in the nighttime too.
This world
won’t last forever, It’ll be over in a blink or two.
And if you
trust Jesus as your Savior, You know He’ll get you through.
Yes, if you
trust Jesus as your Savior, You know He’ll will get you through
Yes, if you
trust Jesus as your Savior, You know He’ll get you through (get you
through)
